RATS CONTROL – extermination of harmful rodents (mice, rats, voles, moles) by chemical or mechanical means.

The most common rodents to be found in food processing plants:

  • house mouse (Mus musculus) – these rodents can live in very low temperatures, they are known to have stayed in cold stores in temperature of -20°C,
  • black rat (Rattus rattus) – diseases transmitted by this rat have caused more human deaths over the last few hundred years than all wars and revolutions to date,
    • Rattus rattus climbing up on building
  • brown rat (Rattus norvegicus) – this species is able to bite with pressure of 150 kg/cm2 and speed of up to 6 bites per second. It is able to damage materials like metal sheet, metal covers or lead pipes.
